As part of Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association, Kendal MRT are very proud to have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. Each team within LDSAMRA has its own unique history and as individual teams achieved some outstanding rescues, but if and when a large scale incident occurs we all work as one; Storm Desmond being a fine example. This award also celebrates the work of those who have gone before us: without them we would not be receiving this great honour.
