This year Kendal Mountain Rescue was nominated (by whom is not known) and won the Community Award. An awards evening and joint 10th birthday celebration for Lakeland Radio was held at the Castle Green Hotel on 27 October 2011 where our Team Leader, Eddie Harrison, had the pleasure of receiving a trophy which is sponsored by English Lakes Ice Cream.
