Cumbria Police contacted Kirkby Stephen MRT after walkers had heard what they described as shouts for help close to Whins Farm in the Howgills. As this is located in Kendal’s patch, KSMRT contacted us & relayed the information they had received. Both teams responded & jointly conducted searches around the possible locations. With no signs of anyone in distress, plus receiving information that a farmer was tending his sheep and yelling commands to his dog at the time of the report both teams stood down. Call was made with good intent
