Team called by NWAS. A young lad had received a head injury after being hit by a falling rock at Farleton Knott. Paramedics and team members were soon on scene. Due to the location (very steep ground) the stretcher was lowered using our talons and backroping. As a precautionary measure Rescue 936 was despatched from Caenarfon and airlifted the casualty to Alder Hey. We also received some excellent hospitality (tea and biscuits) from the locals at Townend Farm.
