August Training

Today we headed to the Howgills to conduct our team training. In the morning it was a round robin which included setting up the Sat system to allow Mobile 2 to operate as a forward control, loading and unloading a stretcher from a landrover and learning that their is much more to your team radio than a push to talk button. We then sprung a surprise search and rescue scenario on the team giving some team members the experience of the different roles which can be expected on a callout. The exercise included control, search, cas care, working on steep slippery ground and different ways a stretcher can be used to transport the casualty. A busy and wet productive day.
